After a strong showing last season, Taylor Rapp will be packing his bags and joining the Buffalo Bills.

The news was reported by NFL insider Adam Schefter, who didn’t yet have the financial details of Rapp’s new contract.

Rapp joined the LA Rams roster after the team selected the safety in the 2nd round of the NFL Draft. The 25-year-old was a key contributor during LA’s Super Bowl run in 2021, and had another solid season in 2022.

Rapp’s 92 tackles were the third-most on the Rams. He also added two interceptions and six passes defended. Pro Football Focus gave Rapp a 76.2 player grade, which ranked 13th among safeties.

While it’s tough for Rams fans to see another key player leave, especially on the heels of Bobby Wagner signing with the Seattle Seahawks, neither move was surprising.

Los Angeles doesn’t expect to contend in 2023, so re-signing starters like Rapp and Wagner unfortunately isn’t a priority. The Rams continue committing to a rebuild.
