NFL games used to be broadcast in two windows on Sunday afternoons on two different networks.
Now it’s a Megacast world.
It’s a testament to modern technology — and the NFL marketing wing — that games are now broadcast over many networks and multiple platforms.
It can be hard to keep up week to week to know whether the Los Angeles Rams on NBC, Fox or just on a streaming service.
As defending Super Bowl champs, the Rams are must-see TV a lot in 2022. They have the maximum allowed five national broadcasts. The Rams open the season at home on Thursday night, but it’s really a Sunday night broadcast because it’s on NBC.
On Christmas, the Rams will be featured in a game that will be shown on CBS and Nickelodeon, part of the NFL’s outreach to younger viewers. The Nickelodeon broadcast is geared to the kid crowd with green slime graphics and lots of SpongeBob.
There’s only one ‘stream only’ Rams broadcast. That’s the Thursday night game in December against the Las Vegas Raiders. You’ll need Amazon Prime Video to watch that one.
Remember, starting in Week 11, the networks can ‘flex’ games in or out of the Sunday primetime slot. That could impact the Rams/Chargers game in Week 17. Also, the exact times for the last game of the regular season aren’t revealed until after Week 17, in order to highlight the games with playoff implications.
Rams radio broadcasts are handled by J.B. Long, Maurice Jones-Drew and sideline reporter D’Marco Farr.
Here’s all the information you’ll need to watch, stream and listen to every game.
