Bobby Wagner will not return to the Los Angeles Rams next season, according to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
Wagner, 32, only played one year for LA – but he thrived in the Rams defense. The former Seahawk earned second-team All-Pro honors in 2022.
The move clears up $5 million in salary cap space for the Rams, and they will carry $7.5 million in dead cap. If this is any indication, there could be more veteran cuts on the way.
Wagner is a nine-time Pro Bowler and still has good football left in him. He signed a 5-year, $50 million deal last offseason with the Rams.
